I am interested in political economy, economic history, and cultural economics. In my research, I look at historical events to better understand the political economy of non-democracies, fiscal capacity, and cultural change.

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Macro Finance Lab at the University of Bonn.

My job market paper has won the Unicredit Econ Job Market Best Paper Award 2019.
